I was accused of being cynical today - I am taking this pretty personally.The poems we analysed at university weren’t supposed to be happy. Maybe I shouldn’t contribute to class as clearly being a ‘cynic’ means I’m pretending to be clever. Doesn’t help that the person who said this has always hated me for no apparent reason.
